What does end-to-end setup entail?
Getting started on Max Retail is quick and simple. Most retailers are set up in minutes.
Step 1: Create your account
Click Start Selling and set up your Max Retail account.
Step 2: Upload your inventory
There are a few easy ways to list your aged inventory:
✔ POS or eCommerce integration – Connect your system and import inventory in minutes
✔ Upload an on-hand report – Send us a simple report with brand, style, pricing, sizes, and quantities
✔ Use the Max Retail template – Download our template to quickly upload large quantities of items
Step 3: We optimize your listings
No images or detailed product attributes required. Our team enhances every listing with images, descriptions, sizing details, and product attributes to ensure the best placement across major e-commerce marketplaces.
Step 4: Ship when items sell
When an item sells, simply approve the order and ship it using the prepaid label we provide.

How much time will it take to get set up on Max Retail?
Getting started takes less than 10 minutes.
We know your time is better spent selling full-price merchandise, not managing aged inventory. Once your account is set up and your inventory is uploaded, Max Retail handles the rest — from enhancing your listings to selling your products across major e-commerce marketplaces.
How much will I make per item?
List your items at wholesale to recover your cost, or price below wholesale if you'd like to move inventory faster. You’re always in control and can adjust pricing at any time.
You can also use our Price Drop feature, which automatically lowers prices over your chosen timeframe to help move inventory—so you don’t have to think about it.
How much does the average retailer make each year on Max Retail?
On average, retailers on Max Retail receive $38,400 in payouts each year, helping improve cash flow and free up space for new inventory.
Larger or enterprise sellers earn over $250,000 annually on average, depending on the amount of inventory listed.
How and when will I get paid?
All payments are securely processed through Stripe. Once your shipping label is scanned, your payout is automatically sent via ACH directly to your bank account.

What about returns?
All sales on Max Retail are final.
If a return request ever comes up, our team handles it on your behalf. As long as the correct item was shipped and it wasn’t damaged, you won’t be responsible for the return.
Can you sell handmade items?
At this time, Max Retail does not support handmade items on the platform.
Our marketplace works best for retailers carrying recognizable designer and contemporary brands. As we continue expanding our sales channels, this may change in the future.

What if a customer has questions about the item?
Leave that to us. The Max Retail team handles all customer inquiries across every marketplace, so you can stay focused on running your store.
Can I sell single units?
Yes. Whether you have one item or thousands, you can list it on Max Retail. The more inventory you list, the more you sell.
Can I continue to sell my merchandise in-store and on Max Retail at the same?
Yes. Your inventory stays in your store until it sells.
You’re always welcome to continue selling the item in-store while it’s listed on Max Retail. We want you to sell it for as much as possible — so if it sells in-store for more, even better!
Do I need to sign a long contract?
No. There are no long-term contracts. You can stop or pause selling on Max Retail at any time.
How do you preserve my anonymity?
Your business name is never shown on any of the marketplaces where your items are listed.
When an item sells, we simply ask that you remove any tags identifying your store or location before shipping. This ensures your store remains completely anonymous.
Will I be charged tax?
No. Transactions on Max Retail are considered B2B (business-to-business), so there are no sales tax implications for sellers.
